Last Week’s Watercolor Painting Class

This first photo is the class's paintings in various stages of completion. We never feel our own paintings are good but they always impress us when laid down together at the end of class.
The photo below is my painting brought home to be finished as "homework" (click "Read More"). I'm not really unhappy wth it but paintings of buildings are hard.

    You are doing a great job. I am not sure what else you plan to do on this. Just be careful not to overwork it.

      Hi Gene, thanks! It was a bear and I don’t plan to do more to it. Truth be told I think I may have already overworked it. 🥴

    I love seeing the whole class’s work together. Your painting looks great, and I can see why finishing buildings can be tricky.

A Reintroduction

Years ago I kept a blog, mostly sharing creative projects from our NJ location I thought would never change. However, life did bring changes and after 46 years in NJ, we now live in beautiful New England. We downsized to a very old historic house in Massachusetts that we fell in love with the first time we saw it. We have spent most of this year settling in and making it our own. My choice for being creative is still painting, but I’m now taking a class in watercolor, something I could never get right. What I’ve learned is that it’s much more involved than I imagined. So I’m going forward with a wonderful instructor, and I look forward to each weekly class. I’ll start this first post with a few favorites and am open to any and all suggestions. I’m looking forward to blogging again, topics not limited. Just post what you have been doing since last we “met”!
