Vintage Glass Face

I think this vintage jar may have been used to hold something for sale, and it reminds me of any number of “Mr. Peanut” jars. However, he has piercing eyes, a dour expression and a large mouth unlike those in peanut or peanut butter ads. I searched to identify its origin but found nothing. If you think you know the answer please put it in a comment, thanks!

  1. Please click “Read More” to display the photo the correct size. Sorry, it’s the only way I know how to do that. 🤪

  2. Barb, this is a great jar. I have collected jars like this in the past. I have also sold them. This has such great detail. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a very nice weekend.

  4. Oh, that Vintage Glass Face jar is absolutely fantastic! It definitely evokes that classic advertising novelty feel, but his expression is far more intriguing than a cheerful Mr. Peanut. You're right, those piercing eyes and that dour look give him a lot of character.
