Water Color Painting Class

These still life paintings of a cup of coffee are weird!! Our instructor said it was like a "paint by number". They can be very nice, but most of us chose the coffee to be in shades of blue. We were allowed to pick our own colors, and I dont know why blue won!! The class' paintings are above mine (click Read More). I'm calling mine "Cuppa Blue Worm" or how about "Cuppa Blue Bile"! Hey, Nicole! is that freaky enough? I'd try to change that color but I'm really tired of working on this one. LOL!

    Ohhh I love these!!!! Also both names work for me. I think you did a suburb job on these. The angle and the depth are perfect! I surely would have them messed up. I love love love all of the colors and would love for you to share this post with Sunday in the Art Room next week. Ya know, it's just about art and you are an excellent artist.

A Reintroduction

Years ago I kept a blog, mostly sharing creative projects from our NJ location I thought would never change. However, life did bring changes and after 46 years in NJ, we now live in beautiful New England. We downsized to a very old historic house in Massachusetts that we fell in love with the first time we saw it. We have spent most of this year settling in and making it our own. My choice for being creative is still painting, but I’m now taking a class in watercolor, something I could never get right. What I’ve learned is that it’s much more involved than I imagined. So I’m going forward with a wonderful instructor, and I look forward to each weekly class. I’ll start this first post with a few favorites and am open to any and all suggestions. I’m looking forward to blogging again, topics not limited. Just post what you have been doing since last we “met”!
