There’s something so cozy about seeing your own neighborhood from this quiet, reflective angle. Makes me want to grab a cup of tea and watch the night settle in.
Absolutely stunning. I have been to Vermont, New Hampshire, New York and Maine. New England is beautiful. Warm greetings from a retired lady living in Montreal, Canada ❤️ 😊 🇨🇦
Years ago I kept a blog, mostly sharing creative projects from our NJ location I thought would never change. However, life did bring changes and after 46 years in NJ, we now live in beautiful New England. We downsized to a very old historic house in Massachusetts that we fell in love with the first time we saw it. We have spent most of this year settling in and making it our own. My choice for being creative is still painting, but I’m now taking a class in watercolor, something I could never get right. What I’ve learned is that it’s much more involved than I imagined. So I’m going forward with a wonderful instructor, and I look forward to each weekly class. I’ll start this first post with a few favorites and am open to any and all suggestions. I’m looking forward to blogging again, topics not limited. Just post what you have been doing since last we “met”!
This is today’s painting for inspiration. I’ll share some of the class’ work below (click on “Read More”) . We thought it would be super hard but we did pretty well. This class is so much fun and very rewarding.
Not only is my watercolor painting instructor talented but she is also very good at bringing out the best of us in her class. This photo shows our work inspired by our instructor’s original painting of a feather and bead decoration. Most of us were finished in class, some are still in progress, and mine is the least done (bottom left). Now I have the most homework of all which is to finish my painting by next week’s class. I am a very slow painter!
Ohhh this is gorgeous. Would love to see you new place.
